That's How We Kick It....Old School....

Outkast- Atliens

Bone Thugs and Harmony- Thuggish Ruggish Bone

2Pac- Ambitionz Az A Ridah

Josh Turner has a sexy voice and he sings some beautiful love songs. i know it is country but, i like some country now and again. This song I love because it reminds me of me and my babe. mmm hmmm...

My motivation songs

I know I have blogged of this before, just a couple of songs that stick with me, and I hear randomly when out of sorts. I really don't care if they are "cool" or not. They lyrics are what make an imprint in my head. Slick Shoes, All American Rejects....but come on....who doesn't love slick shoes!! You just have to! They ROCK!! AAR is weird, cuz I ALWAYS freakin hear it, and I could not even be in my car, and I will just hear it, like someone drove by this morning blaring it, it's fuckin hot in my place, so my windows are open, it's what I woke up to!! I believe this will never end, and I will just accept the song as something for me!! Slick Shoes, I have just been humming this song lately, so usually when that happens it is time to listen to it!! =) It's good to recognize these things, no matter what it is, if you feel it to be strange or too ironic, it's happening for a freakin reason!!

This band is just so disturbingly awesome, and I can't seem to stop listening to it. It's like it's weird, but you just have to keep listening, then it gets to you in a good way, but weird way, if you are pickin up what Im throwin down here!! I love violin, and wish I knew how to play. Take a listen and then again. It has grown on me, Im not sure what to call it, maybe just different I guess!! YAY!!

Foxboro Hot Tubs!!!!

Foxboro Hot Tubs, The Network, Greenday!! What an awesome show this would be considering that all of those bands are indeed Green Day!!!! They have been touring as Foxboro Hot tubs on the West Coast.
In 2003 this band came out called The Network, I can't remember how I had heard them, but it's totally rad and has some synth goin on in it. They attempted to trick people and just come out with side profects without giving a word of it, which is funny, they said they were taking some time off from touring, and Green Day's last record probably, they would fade away after this. BUT, to me, how could this be, They just realsed American Idiot, and have had an extensive tour, they have made it big!! They have never had more fans, Then all of a sudden this band with vocals very similar to Billie Joes comes out on the internet....what?? They are so odd The Hot tubs are more rock, but they all definately deliver some coolness!!
They play small venues. So Im thinking how cool it would be if they were to tour Iowa, maybe the House Of Bricks. Although they would probably go to the Val Air Ballroom which is a good place too!!Im sure Funks G would love to take the stage with them, being admirers of Green Day as well =) OH YEAH!!! That would be the best night ever, I could die fulfilled!! I love how random they are, they are just crazy!! They don't really take their success too seriously, they do the whole habitat for humanity thing, and their families too, gets their kids involved, (and they have little mohawks) advocate for a cleaner planet, democratic campaigns, rock against Bush, shit that by just being them, they will have people listen. I think that would be one of the best things about being famous.
This video is obviously not the band, but it's so fucken cute!! Watch it, love them, or don't. Once again, I am rolling in the awesomeness of all that is these guys =)

The National Pool

i like this band and so should you. here is a song.

Mad Happy/Scream Club

So, on Tuesday night, Kelly and I went and saw Mad happy, Scream Club and some DJ's. It was a good time! Mad Happy played at Hairy Mary's years ago, and have not been back since. I was afraid that they didn't like it here, cuz the crowd that night were a bunch of drunken assholes!! The Mews is such a better place for them. Kelly bought a shirt and things. They are so rad, and I love them.
Then Scream CLub....well well...*ehm* talk about some killer beats with super duper funny outfits, and way positive lyrics (sometimes)=)!! A duo that is just spectacular, at times they totally reminded me of Northern State, how passionate they were in their lyrics when they had something to really get out of the songs, to really relay the message with hip-hop. I must say my body hurt almost as bad the next day after I went to see Freezepop and Joy Electric!! My right ear is still muzzled, I was of course right next to the speaker, but I had a good spot, I LOVE DANCING!!!! My hoodie also rocks when dancing, until I get hot =) Nobody cared, everyone let loose and just...busted a move...ARM PIT HAIR!!!

The Gossip

So a couple of years ago i received a cd from a very good friend of mine(kristen, to be exact) it was a while since i receieved music from someone and i got so many of them. well, i put it in to listen and i was hooked. i absolutely love this band and i love beth, she fucken rocks, kicks ass, and eats like a real person, not the skinny bitches who claim to eat and don't put are skinny and i want to just like smack them, no offense to anyone, because i love all people but, there is nothing like seeing a big girl take stage, present with such abundance of character and bring the house down. that' sthe fucken shit, i love her. so i am totally obsessed with listening to them i believe i have pretty much that cd memorized, and i need to possess more of them. so i just wanted to share how much i love this band and look up to them, and wish i could be that. you know, like in the fantasy world if i could sing, and get over spilling out my stuff and well, less nasty girl, but pretty close. oh and i only get pissy at skinny girls because i'm not, but you know, whatever, no hate. just love of me some good pizza and kickass fucken music. rock on sisters!

vampire weekend

So i noticed that these guys are playing in seattle at the capitol hill bloc party, so i checked them out, and they are pretty cool, fun, upbeat, interesting, so if i am off that weekend i might go check it out. so yea check em out and enjoy!

This is awesome

FREEZEPOP FOREVER

I know I posted this in the other blog but, had to put it here too and go into more detail.
I MET LIZ E.!!!! WOO HOO! And I was a total dumbass and practicly ran away from her because I was in such awe of the super duper awesomeness that is positive synth pop vibe. *sigh* I will chill the fuck out next time and make conversation. It was totally an awesome show and I think Brian really enjoyed them too which brings so much joy to my heart. I love it when he loves what I love. They played lots of my faves such as Plastic Stars, bike theif, ninja of love, science genius girl, and stakeout but, did not play Robotron which made me sad because it was a NASA/ robot event. I danced and danced and it was just fabulous.
If you haven't listened to them yet you MUST. I'm really hooked on the song "swimming pool" right now. sooooo pretty.

Eisley

I went and saw this band last night at the Vaudeville Mews. I love them so much. This is not a pic of the whole band, but the two main singers. I have videos, but the sound is horrible, maybe I can remaster it somehow to post and sound ok. This band is very moving, they are all related, 3 sisters, brother (drums), and cousing on bass, I think. They have voices that just get to you in a good way. They are very down to earth people, younger than me, of course, I think one of them is 19. The show was consumed by 14 year olds, it was an all ages show, I went by myself, which is cool. I rocked out, and broke a huge sweat, I made some people surrounding me un-happy and I had some weird looks because I was singing and rocking. Last time I checked that is why I enjoyed going to shows, but that is ok, being 14 and being too concerned about looking a certain way, NObody was really moving at all, and it was not very crowded, the Mews may be small, but it's totally rockable!! So that was the bummer of the night. I missed the first band Vedera or something like that. I saw the Myriad, they are okay, nothing to write home about. They seemed to mellow dramatic for me, and I love the screaming emo boys. They just didn't scream right or enough for me I suppose. =)
I love this band, they totally rock, and you can feel the lyrics, and the intense notes of the keyboard. The way they sing is just amazing! It was cool because basically it was like seeing an arena show at the Mews, that rox!!

Muscles

So, there's this super sweet electronica musician from Australia who is blowing my mind right now with his tunes (plus making me work out a bit harder)....listen up peeps...it's GOOOOD!
the vids I got from you tube aren't like the actual music vids...just fans putting some images together for you to watch while rocking...but if I could make a suggestion....turn your speakers up...step away from the computer screen and rock the hell out!!!!
