One of the smallest dive bars is DSM, yet North of Grand totally rocked it for the cd release last Spring, it was cool!! It was where they played their first ever show. The sould quality isn't the greatest in this video, but they rule. Nerfherder/Green Day all the awesomeness influenced band, just yay!!

Ok...so this band from Ames have been doing very well in the music buis. I've been going to shows for years, they rock...anyways...this is from 2008's 80/35, and around 48 seconds or so...there's my freaken head with my stupid lil pig tails flailing about, and Kelly's next to me! lol...it's just amusing, and sometimes I think I shouldn't be allowed to do that, espeically when it pops up in pictures and you tube!! K so when I moved to DSM I began seeing this band quite a bit at Hairy Mary's! They were awesome, and used to pour glitter all over the drums, so when they hit, it would be all shimmery!! I miss them. The girl drummer, Laura, has since left and some dude now plays...it's not the same.

In anticipation of the new Green Day album to hit May 15th...more and more keep getting released beforehand, I thought I'd spare the torment of posting yet another sad video of the band that once was, and post the interview with them instead, cuz I know you can't get enough, right HA!! WTF!! Are they brainwashed?? Did Billie Joe get his teeth fixed..nothing wrong with that, I would to if I could afford it. Anyways. If you look at the clips you can clearly see, the un-excited members, playing shit, and still calling it their best yet!! It's so not good at all!!! I played the songs the whole way through, barely, just for the sake of hope in my boys, and I was delivered with a sad feeling. I'm shattered. Will they come back? Is this the end? Even if they decided to call it quits I'd be happy with that, as long as they stopped recording shit!! I gotta say that there is a part where he states "the album, lyrically is looking for a deeper meaning" REALLY?? I think lyrics that looked for that was when he questioned if death had a life to call it's own in One of My lies!! Fuck their political angle, American Idiot delivered, this is sad. Let it go!! Or maybe I should!!
It's almost like they have to watch what they say now, when on camera or some shit!! I'm still debating if I'll buy this album. A part of me just can't. Thank god for Tre in the end where he shows that humor is still allowed, as the camera drifts away from them ending the damn interview!! They're being fucked by fuck tards somewhere!

What's your opinion on this video?? Here's mine,,,,I miss random GD, what's up with the lame guitar stuff it's not very Billie Joe style anymore, the bass line so mellow, and the drums not very rockin, and enough with the mic pretending to sound like a megafone at times, they've done it...listen to the older stuff, probably some of the best music they've ever created, I could understand growing as musicians with time, but they don't got the spunk in it anymore or some shit. Understanding things change blah blah blah....sending good messages is sweet, having political views, who doesn't? I just can't grasp the new sound/image or anything. What the fuck happened and where are my boys???!!!! American idiot was surprisingly rad, about 2 albums before that they began to lose their sound. Maybe I just need to be more accepting or something, on the plus side, this songs catchy and hopefully the album has some sound true to the band there. It's like somewhere down the line they bottled it up, and signed a contract to become another band completely, fuck who brainwashed them into signing their awesomeness away to. I believe the album is called 21st century breakdown.....and I think it may have just caused me to breakdown.

Went to the Pabst the other night and these guys were here...their performance was probably one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen...The energy was intense, the music was beautiful....

These guys opened...I missed them. However, later at the safe house I watched her karaoke "Criminal" so I was no longer disappointed.
