I saw her a couple of years back in Iowa City...She opened for Ani and blew my mind with how powerful not only her voice was but her words too....I was able to get the opportunity to meet her and she was just as amazing in person as up there on that stage...singing to you....

Hello! I really enjoy this band. It's one the 70/80ish punk bands, but they never really were big like The Clash or Ramones or anything. They are just super fun, and I can totally see the influence they had on Green Day and things. YAY! Have fun rocking =)

Everyone who knows me knows just how much The Grateful Dead shaped my life...They are some seriously amazing people and even more amazing musicians...Look forward to an awesome blog about them soon...but for now heres a lil something from their site that I just knows gonna treat you right!
"So what better way to kick off 2009 than to confirm what’s been buzzing in the rumor mill for some time: The Dead will be touring for the first time in more than four years, with nearly twenty shows spread across a month from mid-April through mid-May! The lineup for this edition of The Dead will be the same one that rocked the house at Penn State last fall at the Obama benefit: The Core Four of Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, joined by guitar monster Warren Haynes and RatDog keyboard ace Jeff Chimenti (both veterans of the 2004 Dead "Wave That Flag" tour). The mood of the band for this Spring Fling is way up, so it’s sure to be a great tour!"

Sigur Ros

They are an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical and minimalist elements. The band is known for its ethereal sound and lead singer Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto voice.
They use Vonlenska in several of their song, which is a term used to describe the gibberish sung by the band,^[13] in particular Birgisson. It is also commonly known by the English translation of its name, Hopelandic. It takes its name from “Von”, a song on Sigur Rós’s debut album Von where it was first used. Vonlenska is not an actual language people speak in, as it lacks a consistent grammar structure, word meaning, or even distinct words. Instead, it consists of emotive syllables and phonemes; the band’s website describes it as “a form of gibberish vocals that fits to the music”. For a list of songs that use this, check out:
